Title: Crowdsourcing Structured Data with the Zooniverse Project Builder

Abstract:

This talk will consider the opportunities of crowdsourcing for record linkage, making use of tools available on the Zooniverse, the world’s largest and most popular platform for crowdsourced research. The Zooniverse Project Builder (https://www.zooniverse.org/lab) is a free, do-it-yourself tool that anyone can use to build a crowdsourcing project from start to finish. Attendees will learn about the tools available on the platform and how they might be used in relation to record linkage, from generating data via tasks like text transcription or tagging, to verifying initial attempts of machine learning models.
