IRSA Hosts Medtronic Information Session

On September 16, 2026, IRSA welcomed Medtronic's statistics team to Lind Hall for an information session at the School of Statistics. The team presented how statistics, data science and AI are applied to clinical research challenges for medical devices, and four Medtronic panelists then took part in a panel discussion and open Q&A.

The session gave faculty a chance to explore methodological challenges and possible research and student project partnerships, and gave students a look at day-to-day work in the field and internship opportunities, along with time to network with the Medtronic team.
