The Institute for Research in Statistics and its Applications (IRSA) was thrilled to sponsor and participate in the Women in AI & Data Science (WiADS) Conference, hosted by the Data Science Initiative (DSI). Held in collaboration with MinneAnalytics, this year’s conference was an inspiring gathering focused on elevating women and non-binary professionals in data science. The event featured an impressive lineup of speakers, including the renowned keynote, Cathy O'Neil, whose talk on the societal impacts of big data resonated deeply with attendees.
