Dr. Michael Sykuta is an Associate Professor of Agricultural & Applied Economics in the Division of Applied Social Sciences at the University of Missouri-Columbia and is a founder and Director of the Contracting and Organizations Research Institute (CORI). Dr. Sykuta holds a Ph.D. in economics from Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Sykuta’s research focuses primarily on contracting, firm organization, organizational governance, and industry regulation. He is an affiliate scholar with the International Center for Law & Economics and was a Privacy Fellow at George Mason University’s Law & Economics Center in 2014-15. While a Fellow with George Mason, he wrote on the issues of property rights, privacy, and industry competition around Big Data in ag and the Ag Data Services industry.
